The Emergency Medical Technician course allows students to pursue interest in becoming an EMT, a health professional that provides emergency medical services. Students that complete this course successfully will be able to take exams for certification/licensure at the state and national levels. Once obtaining this certification, students will be able to work for any Emergency Medical service.
This course is a dual credit partnership with Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC). There are currently 16 students in the program.

The students have been attending EMS clinical rotations with Bullitt County EMS. “These clinical rotations give the students ‘real-life’ experience,” Mr. Will describes. “I have received positive feedback from both Bullitt County EMS and the students concerning these clinical rotations.”
