McKendree University’s Worldwide Recruiter Chrystal Mingus encouraged the Bullitt County Board of Education during its October meeting to spread the word about this educational opportunity.
“I was working the college fair recently at Bullitt Central High School,” Mingus explained, “and alerted students to the fact they can take classes in this building.”
Bullitt County Public School employees receive a 10% tuition discount.
Classes start every four weeks and meet Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 6:00-9:40 p.m. at Bullitt Central’s College and Career Center.
Students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. These courses are taught in the classroom by an instructor with additional online sessions.
Students can also make use of the CCR’s computers to take these classes online – Computer Information Systems, Nursing (RN to BSN), Psychology, Sociology/Criminal Justice, Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Sports Management.
Available graduate degrees include Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (online course only).
Mingus noted that McKendree University has served the Kentucky community for over 40 years.
“There is a very rich and rewarding success for those who chose McKendree,” she said.
Mingus added most of the questions she fields about enrolling in a college class involve tuition.
“I let people know to not let that stop them from continuing their education,” she said. “Scholarships and financial assistance are available.”
