PRESCHOOL SCHEDULE - Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday/

Preschool students will attend for two full days per week, either on Monday and Tuesday or on Thursday and Friday.  The preschool department will determine which session each child will attend and the preschool teacher will notify families at the home visit.

TUITION BASED PRESCHOOL OPENINGS (Temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions)

The preschool department is offering a tuition based option for all preschool students who are age 4 by August 1st of the current school year.  Below, you will see a link for the Tuition Guidelines and a Tuition Contract – one for Bullitt County residents and one for Bullitt County Public School employees.

To enroll in Preschool, the following documentation is required: 

  • Proof of Residence
  • Birth Certificate
  • Student Physical Exam
  • Current Immunization (including Hep A)
  • Eye Exam as of January 1st


Preschool OVEC Head Start Logo and Link to OVEC Head Start Site

The Bullitt County Preschool Program is funded through the Kentucky Department of Education. It is available to four (4) year old children whose family income is no more than 160% of poverty level or for children that are three (3) or four (4) years of age with development or speech delays, regardless of income.  For a child to be eligible based on income he/she must be four (4) years of age on or before August 1st. 

OVEC Head Start is a federally funded, comprehensive school readiness prgram for children that are three and four years old, from income eligible families. The child must be three (3) years of age to be screened for eligibility. Head Start has classrooms in six Bullitt County elementary schools.
